Private Banking Selects Document Sciences for Financial Statements
Santander Private Banking, the international wealth management unit of
the ninth largest bank in the world, has chosen our xPression® statements
solution, which includes the new xPresso™ design component, to automate
the creation and production of its consolidated financial statements.
Using xPresso, Santander Private Banking expects to speed overall efficiency,
significantly improve the content and the quality of statements, and reduce
the costs of maintaining and evolving these statements.
Santander
Private Banking, a unit of Grupo Santander (SAN.MC, STD.N), needed a consolidated
financial statements solution. xPression’s standard-based architecture
and xPresso’s ease-of-use design features were key drivers for Santander
Private Banking’s selection. xPression’s service-oriented
architecture based on Java, XML standards and Web Services will enable
Santander Private Banking to integrate their statements production with
other systems and workflows they currently have in place. Additionally,
xPresso’s use of Adobe® InDesign® will provide a state-of-the-art
design interface that they are already familiar with, rather than a proprietary
tool used for a single purpose.
“xPresso is a powerful tool for designing sophisticated, personalized
financial statements with transactional data,” says Ramiro Lopez
Larroy, Director of Strategic Planning for Santander Private Banking.
“Not only will we be able to include meaningful, financial information,
we can customize it even further with specific data relevant to each customer.
Importantly, Document Sciences offered a sophisticated architecture that
should give us the scalability that we’ve been looking for and the
ability to integrate it within our current IT environment.”
“Financial statements have evolved into powerful communications
tools for banks and other institutions. They are the one document that
every customer is most likely to read carefully. Making them high quality,
clear, and easy to read is very significant in building longer-lasting,
quality customer relationships,” explains Nasser Barghouti, Chief
Technology Officer for Document Sciences. “We’ve added the
xPresso design interface to our xPression product suite to provide large
banks like Santander Private Banking with the ability to design and develop
the best possible financial statements in the speediest manner possible,
while leveraging their current investment in advanced design tools like
the Adobe Creative Suite and technologies like J2EE, XML and Web Services.”
