Step 1: Requirements Analysis
- Gain an understanding of business and technical requirements for filing regulations; data feeds; content assembly business rules; and output management issues for finishing equipment, electronic distribution, print, and archival
- Review workflows and processing flows in both development and production environments, to identify significant efficiencies and performance improvements
- Prioritize forms migration based on usage and need
Step 2: Infrastructure Design
- Gain an understanding of the existing IT infrastructure
- Design an xPression/Autograph infrastructure specific to your business requirements
- Focus early on issues such as server clustering, failover requirements, risk factors and risk mitigation
Step 3: Technical Design & Pilot
- Plan the conversion process using automated conversion tools
- Validate technical design and end-to-end conversion on a subset of documents previously selected during the requirements analysis
- Demonstrate success via a pilot process which leverages the new xPression/Autograph functionality
Step 4: Application Development & Implementation
- Apply feedback from the design and pilot step to guide the conversion of the remaining selected documents
- Focus on business processes and workflow improvements
- Implement tested documents in your technical environment for final validation and acceptance
Step 5: Knowledge Exchange
- Knowledge exchange occurs throughout the project, keeping the joint project team in close communication
- At project turnover, your dedicated Solution Consultant provides on-site training sessions and technical support relating to maintaining documents within EMC Document Sciences' technologies
