xPression, universal content processing services from EMC Document Sciences, enables real-time interactive multi-channel publishing of your most critical business communications. xPression enables content-intensive enterprises to streamline business workflows, meet compliance requirements, and support real-time and high volume multi-channel publishing. xPression Design, considered the most visible component of xPression to business users, is a collection of client tools used for designing custom documents in xPression.
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed for individuals who participate in configuring and designing documents in a Universal Content Processing Services (UCPS) environment. Participants will learn the fundamental architecture of the xPression system and its components. Hands-on exercises teach critical aspects of the document development cycle including category set-up using xPression Administration and document creation using the xPression Design interface.
Prerequisites:
- A basic understanding of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Relational Databases such as Oracle, or DB2, or SQL Server
Document Processing - Application Server based applications
- XML and XML schemas
- Relational Databases such as Oracle, or DB2, or SQL Server
- Microsoft® Word 2000 or higher functionality, including the use of styles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft® Windows® NT, 2000 or higher
- Extreme familiarity with PC operations
